My Goals for 2017

I know it's only been a few weeks since I wrote a post about my goals but you can't really go into the New Year without adding on a couple more, can you? I think that continuous self-improvement is important and I'm not one to save my own development for the start of the year; I'm always writing lists of things I need to work on. I mean, as we all know, the tagline of this very blog is "in the process of becoming" and it really is something that I believe in.

Anyhow, 2017 is set to be a MASSIVE year for me. I have my last few months of school alongside my last round of A-Levels, prom, I'm going to university, leaving home and on top of that, there's weddings to go to, hen-dos, trips to Paris etc. etc. It's definitely going to be an interesting twelve months, isn't it? And at the moment, all I can do is get off to a good start.

So, here goes my goals for 2017:

2 | Monthly Playlist - The French Edition.

Hello everyone! I'm back with another monthly playlist.
This month, I thought I'd do something a little bit different to what I had originally planned this "series" to be and I'm going to share some of my favourite French songs with you.

I'm not whether or not I've mentioned it on this blog before, but I'm going to study French at university in September. Now, French has always been my favourite subject at school and learning French has always been something very important to me since I'm an absolute francophile. So, yes, I spend most of my time listening to my French playlist and these are just a couple of the songs from there that I particularly love.

I'd also just like to add that even if you don't speak French, it doesn't mean that this playlist will be totally inaccessible to you. I listen to music from Spain and Germany and I hardly know a single word of those languages. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that sometimes musi…

Morning Routine | Three Things I do Every Morning

I love a good morning routine. Apparently, some of the most successful people in the world have a daily routine that they hold sacred. Perhaps this is why I love reading about what others do to wake themselves up so that I can learn from them and incorporate their ideas into my own patterns.

Despite this, I'm a creature of habit and I like doing the same few things frequently because I know that it works for me. I know that it wakes me up and puts me in a good place for the rest of the day - which is, of course, something that everyone needs in the morning.

My morning routine, admittedly, various a little from day to day, depending on where I am and what my plans are, but there are three things that I always make sure I do. Here they are:

I am a big believer in atmosphere. No, you don't need to tell me I'm pretentious. Nevertheless, in my opinion, the most important part of constructing the perfect atmosphere is to create the perfect playlist.

So here is a playlist I have created that, I think, complements a quiet evening at home with the lights turned down low, surrounded by friends and loved ones.


My Goals For the Next 10 Minutes

Everything is changing in my life and I am learning that this is okay. All I have to do to stay in control is to set some goals and allow them to navigate the changes toward something I really want. The problem is, though, that I set myself new goals approximately every 10 minutes. Not because I've met my previous goals - oh no - but because I'm suddenly a new person with new goals and new ideas about the kind of aesthetic and image I want to exude.

So, dearest reader, here are the goals I am currently working towards. Here's who I want to be right now.
